About the Author
Valerie Poulin has published poetry and creative non-fiction in literary periodicals, micro-press journals, and anthologies. When not writing fiction, Valerie likes to write non-fiction articles and has seen her work published in newspapers, magazines, and online. She is author of the long-selling Seeking Representation: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding a Talent Agent (in Canada), a how-to guide for novice actors.
Her fictional work Letters to My Girlfriends once published online, is being edited for print. Valerie's creative non-fiction collections A Mixed Bag of Bones (volumes 1, 2, and 3) are available on her website A Creative Way Out of Work, where her four poetry chapbooks, including Something to Hide, a Shaunt Basmajian Chapbook Award finalist (2002) are also available.
Valerie created a home for her year-long project of non-fiction work at Another Writing Project, following the success of A Creative Way Out of Work, where Total Life Chocolate essays were originally posted.
